I have a lot to do today. Not just the never-ending task list, but how the tasks are completed: with presence, with thoughtfulness, and calm. This isn't easy or natural yet, and it requires a lot of focus and attention to do it, but I know right away if it feels right. Thankfully, (as I mentioned on a friend's FB page this morning) every moment is a new opportunity to practice this skill.
When I was younger, I wanted to be perfect and when I wasn't perfect I wanted to throw it all out the window. Sometimes I still get like that, but now I'm much better at forgiving myself and starting over again.
