Speaking another language

At work, I am required to be indirect.  When I talk, I talk around and around in a circle, to get what I mean.  I make statements, which contain no emotional value.  I express concern without furrowing my brow.  I have, on occasion, publicly held my head in my hands, which is as close as I can get to expressing my disbelief about a situation.  I think I expressed myself better in French.

On another, but related note: No one can know what motivates a person.  As someone once said, "People do things for perfectly good reasons."  But sometimes, those methods don't serve us anymore, and we don't even realize it.
