Yesterday the kids and I made some shortbread. I must have mis-measured the salt because they came out way too salty. The texture was good and they were baked well enough.

Because our kitchen is miniscule, we created a little baking area on the laundry porch so I have a nice surface area to spread out and mix it up.

I'll be practicing more baking this weekend: cookies (with half the salt of yesterday's) and creme puffs Bouley-style.
