We woke up at 4:00 am, loaded up the kids and drove. They slept until 9:00, Bryan too. By then we only had about 2.5 hours of driving left and we made it to Ashland by 12:15 with only a few stops. There's some big hills over here, so if the weather is bad when we're heading home, we're going to take the coast back instead.
Ashland is a cool little town - a little town done well. There's a college here which may be why there's so many good little restaurants and coffee places. We had pancakes and sandwiches at a yummy spot, MorningGlory. Mine was a crispy, toasted croissant with warm lemon garlic turkey with cream cheese and cranberry sundried cherry chutney - um, amazing.
When we woke up from our naps we drove to find a park, played and picked up dinner á la Safeway: Roasted chicken, spinach salad, black beans and bread.
